Following are links to some initiatives/organizations that may
be of interest to readers of this Web site. For links to
treatments, see "Remarkable
Treatments and Results."
Readers may notice the lack of links to well-established
dyslexia and ADHD organizations/initiatives, some of which claim
to represent the interests of parents and patients. The author
has attempted to contact a number of organizations and
initiatives in the Netherlands, the U.K., the United States and
Germany. Those contacted but not listed here demonstrated no
interest in alternative treatments that have strong indicators
for delivering better results than accepted treatments. In
addition, some showed a lack of objectivity and respect for
alternative views. Others found compliance with established
procedures more important than better treatment results or are
strongly opposed to alternative views anyhow (one experience
being censorship in a Dutch forum).
If you know of initiatives or organizations that should be
listed here, I would like to hear from you. Please send an
e-mail. Be sure to include the reason(s) you think the
organization or initiative should be included. To be listed,
organizations should demonstrate respect and objectivity toward
alternative views, alternative treatments or
theory B through their
publications/actions. Initiatives with a strong case for
treatment risks being much higher than implied are also welcome
(examples below). Please note: There is no guarantee the
initiative or treatment will be listed here, and it may take
time for it to be added to the site.
